Experiments in the dark. [Entered this for the PhotoFriday weekly challenge for Apr 01, 2005 for the theme "Hot"] [Update: For an enhanced version of this pic, see here] [Update: Found a similar entry for the same theme Hot]
thanks vinu, i think I took about 10-15 of these to get it. I'm not very happy with it still, but this is the best I could do before my flatmates started protesting that I was wasting gas :-D
I have this A/S/M mode in my camera which i experiment with... varying shutter speed and aperture till I get it right. Also a stable hand.. that is difficult since I don't have a tripod :-)
Hi Sid, Which equipment do you use? Will send you my pic..u can take a look. I did try to experiment. Unfortunately i dont have a stable hand and dont like to use the tripod. Difficult eh? :)
vinu, I use a Olympus Camedia C-770 Ultra Zoom that I bought recently. This picture seems to have spiked quite a bit of interest... I don't know why. I had it in my archives for some time now, but ... :-)
hello anonymous, thanks for the tip. I posted the link to this picture too :-D
Sid, You seem to have lot of comments on this one. I loved it coz I have almost never been able to take good shots of fire. What were the settings for this shot.
hi harpreet, even I am surprised. But then half the comments must be mine ;-) I took 13 shots and this one was the best. I extracted the following relevant info from the EXIF info of the image:
